The Nigerian Armed Forces have continued to record tremendous successes against Boko Haram criminals in the North-East as troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have again recorded another success against the criminal elements by neutralizing scores of terrorists and rescuing hitherto kidnapped victims.
This comes as troops have continued to conduct aggressive clearance operations to stamp out terrorism from the North-East zone of the country.
This revelation was conveyed in a press statement by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General Johnn Enenche. According to the Military spokesman, "Acting on credible intelligence on the activities of BHT/ISWAP terrorists at Hamdaga Makaranta town in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, troops of 192 Battalion supported by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on 6 September 2020 raided the location. The gallant troops overwhelmed them killing 5, while others escaped with gunshots wounds. Troops also cleared 9 identified isolated BHT/ISWAP structures and farmlands in the area."
Going further, he stated that, " troops successfully rescued 7 kidnapped victims comprising 2 females and 5 children"
