Ahead of the general elections slated for 25 February and 11 March 2023, the Commander 4 Brigade Nigerian Army Brigadier General DH Ndahi has assured citizens of Nigerian Army’s readiness and professionalism during the conduct of the general elections. This was made known during the media parley organized by the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Elections duty in Edo State AIG Ede Ayuba in Benin City, today 22 February 2023.
During his address to the press, General Ndahi said, the Nigerian Army is ready to support the Nigerian Police in order to ensure a conducive atmosphere towards a free, fair and credible election. He noted that the security agencies in Edo state have been working in synergy to keep the state safe from criminalities and vices.
The AIG while making his remarks said, the conduct of the 2023 general elections should not be seen as mainly police duties alone but should rather be seen as the duty of all the security agencies. He further seeks for cooperation among the security agencies during the general elections.
