Photos: How Nigerian Special Forces Raided Boko Haram Operations Base in SambisaForest; Neutralized 18 Terrorists

Special Forces Troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai have killed no fewer than  18 Boko Haram Terrorists in another well coordinated offensive operation at one of the major terrorists camps  camp within the  Sambisa Forest area in Borno State.

The YATAB Network gathered that the terrorists were eliminated following a massive onslaught  by a combined force of troops from 73 Battalion under the 7 Division Garrison, 199 Special Forces Battalion under 402 Special Forces Brigade, and 222 Battalion under the versatile and dogged 21 Special Armoured Brigade, Bama. The massive Operation also featured troops from Forward Operating Base (FOB), Molai, Borno State.

An Intelligence source familiar with the Operation informed the YATAB Network, an NGO focused on the anti-terrorism and banditry campaign in Africa, that, sequel to actionable intelligence on the presence of the terrorists from the newly  established base from where they coordinated operations into the Sheutari general area, amongst others, troops stormed the Boko Haram's enclave at Garin Baaba from different fronts, in conjunction with hybrid forces comprising Civilian Joint Task Force members on Tuesday, 4th, 2023.

The source revealed that "the  gallant troops of 73 Battalion, 199 Special Forces, FOB Molai, accompanied by an element of the hybrid forces in support, frontally assaulted the terrorists strong point while troops  of 222 Battalion advanced from the rear."

"Our troops adopted a highly fluid posture and profile and overwhelmed the terrorists with superior tactics and firepower, aggressively neutralizing at least 18 fighters, while several others terrorists who managed to flee the encounter with fatal wounds", are being tracked". All structures within the enclave were equally totally obliterated."

 "It was indeed a bloody day for the terrorists and a victorious day for our troops as they (the troops) successfully shattered their Centre of Gravity"  

"Their days of terror are numbered as our troops are now conducting offensive operations where and where they least expect.", the source concluded.
