 UN-OCHA Applauds Enhanced Civil-Military Relations in N'East

The United Nations (UN) Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr Matthias Schmale has applauded the militaty and the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force JTF (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Ibrahim Ali  for improved facilities in the Joint Investigation Center (JIC) and enhanced Civil-Military relations in the North East region.

Mr Matthias Schmale gave the commendation on Friday, 31 March 2023 when he led  members of his team to Joint Task Force JTF (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK Command Headquarters in Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.

Speaking during the visit, Mr Matthias Schmale stated that his visit was premised on the need to strengthen existing synergy while improving its partnership with the Theatre.

He also thanked the Theatre Commander for his usual support and cooperation, adding that the support and collaboration they enjoy is critical to UN-OCHA overall goals in the NE.

Responding, Maj Gen Ali assured the them of the Theatre's continuous support and cooperation. He also thanked UN-OCHA for the facilities provided to the command in JIC.

While urging them to keep up with the good job, the Theatre Commander reassured the visitors of the Command's determination to sustain the already existing peace in the NE.
