Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have recorded another major feat in the ongoing counter terrorism operations in the North West zone of the country as they have rescued 10 hitherto kidnapped persons from camps of the notorious terrorist kingpin, Bello Turji.
This was disclosed to the YATAB Network by a credible and infallible intelligence source.
The Source disclosed to the YATAB Network, an NGO focused on the anti terrorism and anti banditry campaign in Africa, that the feat was recorded during a massive clearance operation within Magarya and Dusti general area of Zamfara State.
According to the source, troops stormed terrorists hideouts at Keta, Gidan Galadima, Modawa, Mazuwa and Dutsi Villages respectively, belonging to the infamous Turji, during which they were met with stiff resistance by the terrorists.
In particular, troops met with fierce resistance at at Keta and Dutsi camp, the major stronghold of the terrorist kingpin. However, the gallant troops overwhelmed and tactically overran the camps with aggressive firepower, forcing the terrorists to beat a hasty retreat into the forest, many with fatal bullet injuries.
During exploitation of within the general area, troops located and rescued 10 kidnapped person's. Troops also recovered 1 Rocket
Propelled Gun bomb, military radios, ammunition and other operational equipment belonging to the terrorists.
