Troops of Operation Forest Sanity have neutralized 3 terrorists during a firefight along Tsohon Kabai road - Kubusu Forest in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
This was disclosed in a Press Statement by the Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Danmadami.
The statement disclosed that the feat was recorded on 1st June, 2023, when troops conducted an ambush operation to the terrorists enclave within the vicinity and made contact, following which a fire fight ensued.
The troops also recovered 2 AK 47 rifles, 4 magazines, 16 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and some hard drugs, amongst other items.
In a related development, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji deployed at Forward Operating Base, Anka, intercepted a courier conveying a large stock of military fatigues to a suspected terrorists camp in Zamfara State on 30th May 2023, following credible intelligence reports on his movement.
On sighting the troops, the courier, who specializes in supplying such items to the terrorists, fled, abandoning a Ghana Must Go bag containing 46 military jingle hats, 26 camouflage Tee shirts, 2 desert boots, 14 different variants of military camouflage uniforms, 1 desert hand-glove and 1 motorcycle.
