Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji deployed in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara state have rescued about 20 kidnapped victims on 27 June 2023 while on a routine patrol within the general area.
This was disclosed to the YATAB Network by a credible intelligence source, who also indicated that the victims, comprising 15 males, 2 females and 3 children were kidnapped from different parts of Zamfara State.
During preliminary investigation, the victims revealed that they had spent 21 to 52 days respectively in the hands of their captors. Other victims revealed that they were released from the notorious terrorist Turji's camp due to pressure from the Air bombardment and ground troops operations.
All the kidnapped victims were debriefed and handed over to the appropriate authority to link the victims with their families.
In another development, following credible intelligence reports on the activities of some terrorists logistics supplies, troops of Forward Operating Base Magazu, intercepted the logistics suppliers while trying to deliver about 18 Jerrycans of PMS to the terrorists hideouts around Kunchin Kalgo general area.
